Get REAL Compassion: Building Sustainable Skills through Lewy Body Caregiving

Calendar

November 13 @ 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM EST

In recognition of National Family Caregivers Month, join us for a special webinar dedicated to care partners of individuals with Lewy body dementia (LBD). In this empowering session, we will explore the transformative practice of self-compassion—an essential tool for sustaining well-being and resilience.

Caregiving can be overwhelming, and while self-criticism is a natural response, it often leads to exhaustion and emotional strain. In this webinar led by Laura Rice-Oeschger, LMSW, you will learn how cultivating kindness toward yourself fosters clarity, strengthens motivation, and enhances the quality of care you provide. Most importantly, self-compassion helps preserve your sense of identity and joy, ensuring that you don’t lose yourself in the process of caring for others.

Discover practical strategies to harness the power of compassion as a source of strength and balance in your caregiving journey.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand the science and benefits of self-compassion for care partners.
  • Learn actionable skills to navigate stress and prevent burnout.
  • Discover how practicing self-kindness can positively impact caregiving relationships and reduce the need for behaviors (our own and in our care partners)
  • Gain insights and develop your next steps as you balance your emotional health with the demands of caregiving.
