Through expert-led sessions and engaging dialogue, attendees will be empowered – centering equity, honoring diverse experiences, and strengthening the shared commitment to providing compassionate, person-centered care in an ever-changing world.
On May 7 at 1:30pm ET, Brandi Hackett, LCSW, C-ASWCM, Director of Support Services with the Lewy Body Dementia Association and Sarah Mitchell Chen, LCSW, APHSW-C with Rush University Medical Center will present "Navigating Complexity: Palliative Care Social Work Approaches to Supporting People and Families Impacted by Lewy Body Dementia (LBD)." This session explores the unique palliative care needs of individuals living with LBD by highlighting strategies for symptom management, caregiver support, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Attendees will gain insights into tailoring compassionate social work care approaches for people living with this complex neurodegenerative condition and their care partners.
