Family caregivers play a critical role in supporting people living with Lewy body dementia and Parkinson's disease. While caregiving can be rewarding, it can also present unique challenges. Researchers are interested in learning more about the experiences of male caregivers, including which aspects of caregiving are most important to them and what types of support they find most helpful.
What is this study about?
This study aims to better understand the experiences, needs, and priorities of male caregivers who support a family member living with Lewy body dementia or Parkinson's disease. Researchers hope the findings will help inform future programs, services, and interventions designed specifically for male caregivers.
What is involved?
Participants will:
- Complete a virtual interview about their caregiving experiences and priorities (approximately 30-60 minutes via Zoom).
Participants may receive up to $25 for completing the interview.
All study activities are completed remotely.
Who can participate?
You are eligible to participate if you:
- Are aged 50 or older
- Are a male caregiver
- Are providing unpaid care or support to a family member or a person living with Lewy body dementia or Parkinson's disease
