What is this study about?
This study is testing online programs focusing on well-being and safety, designed to assist care partners of friends or family with Lewy body dementia (LBD), Alzheimer’s, or a related dementia.
What’s involved?
All participation is virtual and there are no in-person visits. Care partners will be asked to:
- Complete 4 online surveys over a 9-month period. Each survey should take about 10 minutes.
- Use an online program, over the course of 3 months. Daily activities should take no more than 3 minutes a day and care partners can choose to complete as few or as many activities as they would like.
- Read text or email messages daily for 3 months.
The activities and text or email messages are focused on either the topic of well-being or safety. The total time commitment over the 9 months is about 1-3 hours.
Who can participate?
An individual may be able to take part in the study if they:
- Are a care partner of a friend or family member of a person with Lewy body dementia, Alzheimer’s, or a related dementia
- Provide at least 8 hours of care per week
- Have been a care partner for at least 3 months
- Are willing to receive daily messages by text or email for 3 months
- Speak English
- Have access to the internet
- Live in the U.S.
