Managing Lewy Body Dementia

As part of their free, monthly Care Partner Training series, Insight Memory Care Center in Fairfax, VA, presents Managing Lewy Body Dementia.

Lewy body dementia (LBD) is likely the most common type of dementia you have not heard about. It is the second most common cause of progressive dementia after Alzheimer’s disease (AD) but varies greatly from AD in many ways. The management of LBD is complex and is best addressed by a team of medical and Allied health professionals.

This class will be led by LBDA’s Director of Community and Professional Education, Julia Wood, who will explain the complexities of LBD and how care partners can team up with medical and Allied health professionals to help manage this disease.
