Request for Proposals : LBD Biomarker Pilot Grant
The Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) and The Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF) have issued a Request for Proposals for the 2012 ADDF/LBDA Lewy Body Dementia Biomarker Research Award. This award will provide selected programs with up to $100,000 for one year of support to catalyze a research project focused on developing innovative biomarkers that aid in early diagnosis, detection and disease monitoring of Lewy body dementia. Public and private nonprofit academic institutions and for-profit biotechnology companies worldwide are invited to submit applications. Click here for more information.

“We just returned from the Cleveland Clinic. My husband’s meds weren’t changed, which is a good thing. Anytime they don’t need to increase anything, I always figure that’s good. While making the 5 hour drive home, I had an epiphany of sorts: Managing a progressive illness is really about medication, adaptation and attitude.”

Community Resource Finder is a search engine offered by the Alzheimer's Association that enables those with dementia and their caregivers to locate programs, services and resources in their communities. The system collects information from several sources, including Alzheimer's Association chapters and SNAP for Seniors, a leading source of information on care and living choices for seniors.
