Meet the 2009-2010 Board of Directors We would like to express our grateful appreciation to John Young and Jim Whitworth for their dedication and service on the Board of Directors since LBDA was founded in 2003. John Young was the first elected director and served as Board President in 2008-2009. Jim Whitworth, also a founding director, served as Board President from 2003-2005. Both were instrumental in helping to establish LBDA and were recognized for their guidance and leadership at the September 2009 Board meeting. Although John and Jim have reach the end of their term limits and are rotating off the Board, they remain committed to raising awareness about Lewy body dementia and supporting those affected by the disease. Joining the Board of Directors in 2010 are Barbara Bush and Miles Hurley. Barbara resides in Dunwoody, GA, and has extensive experience working with both public and nonprofit organizations. Miles lives and works in Atlanta as an elder care attorney and brings to us a wealth of knowledge about issues facing families and caregivers. We hope you will join us in welcoming Barbara and Miles to the LBDA family. Leading the organization in 2010 are the newly elected officers of the Board:
